The father of our friend Andres took us far out of Burgos. He seemed worried that two travelers won't have any luck so made sure we knew where's the nearest bus station, when he was leaving us on the road. To communicate with us he had to call his son in Madrid. Every time when I was taking the phone I heard: "Ok, so my father wants to say that..."
Twenty minutes later we were already heading east towards Logroño. Two cute girls from Poland, Paulina and Asia, hosted us there. Some tidbits again of course. Because it is north, tapas are not for free and they are not tapas... What you can get to your there beer is pinchos. Nice, small snack. Mushrooms impaled on a toothpick for example.

Thanks to Louis we've reached Pamplona the next day. Louis is retired and has a lot of time for his beloved hobby - diving. Once on Maldives he was swimming with mantas. I added diving with those creatures to my dreams a long time ago. He had also cycled the Santiago road a couple of times. It seems like it can be a big, spiritual thing also for a non-believer...
While waiting for Ignazio - our CS friend in Pamplona - we left our backpacks in Estacion de Autobuses's locks and went to see the city, drink a bad wine in the park (as it befits the Poles, and because of the temperature...) and see everything what Ignazioo completed with his knowledge the same evening.
Pamplona is well known all over the world because of Encierro. Everyone knows the picture of bulls running through the streets together with many young men. It is happening during San Fermin's feria. Bull run is only short moment of all these fantastic holidays. It is becoming more and more popular among the tourists to come and see the run. Even if they can see only couple of seconds from a RENTED balcony, they can pay quite a lot for it. Encierro became symbol of Sanfermin and Panplona itself.

A Basque who took us from Pamplona decided to change his little Matiz for a bigger car of his wife. So he did and he gave us a lift 50km further that he planned at the beginning. We promised to send him a Polish Christmas card. In order to return the favor we should send a golden one...
On the way to Bayonne we met Raul, who said that he can give us a lift to Biarritz. Even though that wasn't the plan, we decided to go with him. Since he was having a day-off and enjoying a seaside walk, we joined him in that. We promised you to write about you here, so best greetings, mate!
We were happy to spend this night at Remi's flat. Moreover, we received a great vegetable soup and a lot of great travel stories.
- Aren't you interested? - asked one driver who stopped behind us. He had the "convoi exceptionnel" plate on his car so Julia thought he was just waiting for his truck. When we were speaking with him another car stopped. Two cars in the same moment! This is luck! We've chosen the convoi because it could take us straight to Bordeaux.
There we realised that we lost the sun somewhere. Since now we've been carrying it with us, but we probably left it in some car...
Our plans to come back home hitch-hiking through southern Europe had to be postponed, since we were already freezing... We joined Julia's dad, who was planning to go home for Christmas from France. The last part of the way back was not lacking adventures - after fixing first small problem with the car, we found... a hitch-hiker! Paul was courageous enough to hitch-hike in this weather and unlucky enough to be left in a pretty bad place. We are happy that we could help!
We had to face the biggest problem at 6 am in the morning, when the engine stopped for good. The road assistance was late about 2 hours and when it finally arrived we had to push the car up on the carriage, because the winch was broken...

So here we are, finally back home, after two and a half months of wandering, freezing, soaking, walking, starving, meeting great people and having splendid time. We already started dreaming about new adventures... So, thank you for reading us and stay in touch!
